Prices:
Standard: $15
Marble: $20
Marten: $20
Roan: $20
Silvermane: $25
(if you also get a non Silvermane littermate the price will be $20)
Color information:
We have added new colors into our breeding program, some will be available sooner than others, but we welcome people to check in with their progress.
Deposits and holding:
To reserve a rat(s) you must place a 50% non-refundable deposit, otherwise we will only hold a rat for 72 hours. Without a deposit we will do our best to get your next/first rat(s) to you but we can not guarantee availability. Specific pick-up or delivery options must be made. Special accommodations can be decided on an individual basis.
Breeding practices:
Our rats give birth in a converted bin cage (pictures of a travel bin included at bottom), or if necessary (in the case of a chewer) in a 20 or 40 long tank with a fan on it constantly. We judge each rat based on personal development to decide when it's best to breed them. Maturity, weight, age, and health are the most important factors.
Other info:
Delivery is $5 every 25 miles round trip. We prefer to drive in most circumstances and can deliver all the way (in most cases) or meet anywhere in-between. We are an open rattery but prefer arranged visits as this is our home; our rats live in our main living area (with a quarantine area upstairs for any new rats acquired to ensure all rats are safe and healthy). We like for our rats to be our pets with us throughout the day and to grow up experiencing all the sounds and atmosphere of an everyday house. Dwarf's have a smaller litter size and a shorter fertility window which is why they cost more.
